TA Associates is experienced in working with strong management teams in financing growth through acquisitions. Specific themes that we have successfully leveraged in the past include:
- A unique distribution channel can be more effective on a large scale
- Customers will rely increasingly on a super regional service provider with better systems and a larger network
- A proprietary technology or product can be added to the related product group
- Access to capital and regional clustering, which size allows, can create barriers to entry
In many cases, TA can be helpful in the identification and negotiation with potential acquisitions due to our immersion in the target markets. As with our other investments, we will encourage the use of debt financing, when applicable. Given our orientation towards growth companies, however, we will always be mindful of financial responsibility for future growth and acquisitions.
